Adoption Information for Cats
We are NOT a shelter, all of our adoptable animals are in approved foster homes. So meeting any of the animals is by appointment only. Before you will be allowed to meet the animal, you must first complete an adoption application and let us do a home visit. If you are interested in adopting, we strongly recommend that you first thoroughly read through our adoption process as outlined below so that there are no surprises when we go over the adoption process with you!
ADOPTION FEES:
Kittens (under 12 weeks) - $200.00**
Kittens (over 12 weeks) - $120.00***
Cats (over 6 months) - $50.00

Our adoption fees include age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, spay/neuter and microchipping. We also test for Feline Aids (FIV) & Feline Leukemia (FeLV) if the cat was a stray from a high-risk area.
** Adoption fee for kittens between 8 & 12 weeks of age consists of a $120 adoption fee plus an $80 refundable spay/neuter deposit.
*** Adoption fee for kittens over 12 weeks but under 6 months is just $120 because all of our kittens over 12 weeks of age will be spayed/neutered.
And because we prefer that kittens be adopted in pairs, especially if going to a home without other animals, the adoption fee for the 2nd kitten is only $60!
NOTE: KAWS only covers the vaccinations up until the point that the animal is adopted. We make sure the animal is up-to-date on their vaccinations before they are adopted, but anything after that is the adopter's responsibility. (ie: a 10 week old kitten will only have it's first set of vaccinations if adopted at that age. It is the adopter's responsibility to get the kitten's 2nd & 3rd set of vaccinations).

PLEASE NOTE: We only adopt out our cats to strictly indoor homes, unless otherwise specified. We do have some cats that are more suited to indoor/outdoor lives as well as barn and shop homes. Those cats are usually not listed on our site, so please contact us if that is the type of cat you are looking for. We do NOT adopt out kittens under 6 months to any type of outdoor/shop home.
